Anatomo-Electro-Clinical Correlations

Anatomo-electro-clinical correlations is the core methodology of SEEG interpretation. This approach involves careful and systematic comparison of ictal semiology as it evolves along with the corresponding electrical signal, in the framework of the known anatomical positions of the electrode contacts.

Course objectives

At the end of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Describe the basis of anatomo-electro-clinical correlations
  • Apply principles of anatomo-electro-clinical correlations to their own practice
  • Differentiate between simpler and more complex electroclinical patterns
  • Justify choice of electrode implantation strategy based on the preimplantation hypotheses
  • Evaluate adequacy and accuracy of the eventual sampling
  • Analyse in-depth illustrative cases

Who is this Course for ? 

The Anatomo-Electro-Clinical Correlations course is a specialized training intended for neurology and neurosurgery epilepsy physicians who are at junior faculty or second-year fellowship level. Non-medical healthcare professionals are not able to attend this course.

A special THANK YOU to DIXI medical for helping to off-set the $2,500 course registration costs for all participants. Attendees are responsible for travel and accommodation costs.

3.5 days.

Will I receive a certificate or certification upon completion ?
Participants will receive a certificate of completion for participating in the SEEG course. CME credits are not offered for this course.

Are non-medical healthcare professionals able to attend the SEEG Course ?
This is a specialized course intended for neurology and neurosurgery epilepsy physicians and junior faculty or second year fellowship level. Non-medical healthcare professionals are not eligible to attend this course.

Will the SEEG course be recorded or streamed ?
Some lectures may be recorded.

Are there scholarships options ?
Currently we do not offer scholarships.

Are international attendees permitted to participate in the courses ?
Yes, international attendees are welcome to participate.

Are the courses provided in different languages ?
The course will be offered only in English.

Can the interdisciplinary team attend the SEEG course ?
This course is intended for epilepsy neurologists and neurosurgeons.

Will I need to complete an application to attend the course?
There is no application process.

What is the average number of participants per course ?
To maintain the quality of the course, it will be limited to 80 participants.
